Mot Mot Lodge - Tobago

If you ever need to make a grand getaway to Tobago with at least 10 of your best friends and you need to find the most awesome place to stay, you need to go to the Mot Mot Lodge. This gem is nestled away in a dirt track off Arnos Vale Road, Plymouth.

We were in complete amazement of this house as soon as we arrived. The manager, Carlton was very friendly and accommodating. The house sits alone alongside a cliff on the northern side of Tobago. There is an infinity pool accompanied with a balcony and Patio area. The balcony area can be made to open out from the living room to get the true rustic experience of a cabin in the middle of nowhere. The beautiful sunrises in this lodge can only be surpassed by the breath-taking sunsets that can be collected from the cliffside.

The Lodge comes complete with a fully operational kitchen and all required appliances and cutlery to suit your needs. There’s one master bedroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub, three additional bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living room with pool table and a laundry room. The place comes with six beds and an air mattress for additional persons. The place has a max accommodation of 12 persons, so get your 11 friends ready and get the info for this location here. There's also information attached on my blog to get further acquainted with this lovely destination right here. One of my very talented friends, Josh Brizan took the following photos of this lodge.

If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s a track where you can travel down the cliffside to where the rocky base meets the ocean. We made the trip and its moderately easy, you just need to be careful on the rocks.

It’s truly an enjoyable stay, I encourage you to spend a weekend here at least (though a weekend is too short).

Tell me, are there any hidden gems like this elsewhere in your country? I would like to visit and have my personal experience there.

  5. Good read, but I think the pic of the stars really sold me. I'm a sicker for a dark sky with no light pollution!
